How To Solve The Snow Drift Springs Shrine Puzzle in Ghost of Yotei
This puzzle begins at Snow Drift Springs Shrine, situated to the west of Red Crane Inn in the Teshio Ridge region. You might reach this location when going to the nearby hot spring, and Atsu will question what the carvings are for. If you look around, there are multiple fox carvings on top of light posts. You will also spot a door nearby, and the only way to open it is by figuring out the puzzle in front of you.
The first part of the puzzle is when you figure out that the fire braziers next to the closed door can be interacted with and picked up. This allows you to carry a torch, and as you have figured out by now, you have to light the posts.
Now, there is no order in which you need to light the posts, but you need to pick the correct one for each section. You can easily determine which post you have to light by watching the fox behind the puzzle. Match the gesture the fox behind the puzzle is making, and light the same one.
For the first three carvings on the left, you need to light the left-most light post. The second one on the right has a fox howling in the background, so light the right-most post. Go up the small ledge near the door, and you will come across the last set of carvings. There is a brazier here, so pick up the torch and light the middle one. This will open the door a little, allowing you to crouch and go through it.

After going through the door, follow the path up ahead, and you will come across the Snow Drift Springs Hideout, which is filled with a lot of Nine-Tails members. Once you have dealt with all the enemies using your different weapons and freed the prisoner, go towards the exit, where you will notice another fox puzzle.
You need to light two posts here by looking at the two foxes behind. The solution is the left carving on both sides. Once you do this, a path will open up on top leading to the Altar of Reflection and Kitsune Puzzle.
